The "Ruinous Event" is a guild for the MMORPG Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. 

The guild was formed from casual gamers, hardcore gamers, solo players, and small groups of close friends who wanted the advantage of belonging to a large guild to participate in instance runs and large scale RvR, but not the headaches of required play time, guild drama, and elitist assholes. 

We play Destruction. 

The core of this guild is a group of close friends who have been gaming together for over 8 years. We like and strongly encourage small groups of close friends to join the guild. We can accomplish far more by coming together under one large banner rather than many small ones.  

Criteria for Guild Acceptance:

1. You’re not an asshole all the time. (We’ll accept that people have occasional bad days).

2. You’re not easily offended by foul language, rude remarks, and off color comments. 

3. You like to make fun of the occasional guild member who decided it would be a great idea to log on completely drunk.

4. You like to be the occasional guild member who logs on completely drunk.

5. You don’t like to drink, or are too young to drink, but still like criteria #3.

6. You don’t get offended, hurt, cut yourself, whine, or start crying if a fellow guild member tells you, “No. Sorry, I don’t feel like grouping. I feel like playing solo tonight. Maybe some other time.”

7. You respect rather than expect help.

8. You occasionally play naked, but realize that nobody wants to know…or see pics.

9. When grouping, you are not afraid to use the Ventrilo server that the guild is providing you…free. We don’t care if you stutter, talk with a fake English accent, or sound like Elmo on crack. We may make fun of you, but we don’t care.

10. You made it through the application without being offended, puking, calling the police, or attempting to do bodily harm to yourself or another.

11. You accept that doing anything illegal while on the website or ventrilo server isn't cool, but joking about it is.

12. You are over 16 years old.
